Hazen Select sent 3 boy’s team’s to the Washington State Middle School Basketball Championships. The 5th grade, 6th grade and the 8th grade gold all competed to win state. In the end only the 5th grade team made the championship game. Unfortunately, they lost by 1 point on a buzzer beater that had the whole gym’s attention. We are very proud of these 5th grader’s who gave their all and came very close to winning it all. Our other 2 teams competed very well against the best middle school team’s across the state. This was only our second year and with 3 of 5 teams qualifying for state we feel like our program is well on it’s way to success. Way to go Highlander’s
